Synopsis

Following in the choreographed steps of 2000's 'Bring It On' this feel-good college movie sequel follows California State University Freshman, Whittier (Anne Judson-Yager), in her roller-coaster first year away from home.

College turns out to be pretty far removed from high school and despite making some really good friendships Whittier decides to join the cheerleading squad. Almost overnight she's a campus sensation but as her popularity grows with the in-crowd she realises she has been neglecting the people that really care about her. When Tina, the snobby, fascistic head of the cheerleading squad realises where Whittier's allegiances lie Whittier is fired from the team, crushing her hopes of performing at the National Cheerleading Championship. But with a rabble of campus misfits willing to help her out in any way they can, Whittier discovers that her hopes of representing her college at the Championship may not be lost after all.

    What a terrible film

    06 December 2008
This sequel to “Bring it On” just really doesn’t do it for me and really is a waste of time and another excuse for Hollywood to churn out a meaningless sequel. I’m not saying that the first film will win any Oscars but at least the first film had some charm and personality brought by the original film cast in Kirsten Dunst and Eliza Duska, which this sequel clearly doesn’t have. The story involves two students trying to get into their college cheerleading team and when they fail they start their own as they prepare for a cheerleading face off. The jokes are not funny & the plot is corny and unbelievable with stereotypical characters that add nothing different to what we are already use to seeing on TV. This film might be more suited to young kids rather than adults but even then High School Musical is a much better draw than this film and far more entertaining.
