Rahil’s Secret is a moving and powerful film. Rejected by her fellow countrymen and left to fend for herself in an unfamiliar land, a twelve-year-old Iraqi refugee living in Rome recounts her remarkable journey through the bars of a remote and undisclosed prison. Like I said before, it is moving and powerful. You will instantly admire Rahil’s optimism about life even though her guardians would argue and her relentless bullies would bully her. You follow through her story which at times can be highly emotional seeing this little girl surviving. This is not your typical Hollywood gloss – this film is thought-provoking and interesting and I highly recommend watching this film.
