Fun, fun and fun – that is what you get from this film. It does however lose a bit of steam towards the end but that is a minor flaw. The combination between director Tim Burton and composer Danny Elfman really brings this film to life. On first impressions, people may view this as silly and pointless but trust me, this is a funny film. Pee-Wee (a man child in search for his bike), is a likeable guy although his laughing can be irritating at times but bearable. He does have this care free persona about him which you will like and admire about him. All the characters, no matter how absurd they are give a good performance. Visually, the film is beautifully shot thanks to Tim Burton’s direction and some great scenes which are memorable like the Tequila dance and “Large Marge” for example, which are hysterical to watch.
