Worth it

Ben Stone (Seth Rogen) and Alison Scott (Katherine Heigl) meet at a bar, get drunk and have sex together. A few weeks later she discovers that she is pregnant and tells Ben that he is the father. This film has a really simple concept and does really well not to over-complicate things like some comedies do. In fact, where in some comedies, the jokes wear thin after awhile, the jokes in this film are still strong throughout. Although I had more laughs watching the 40 Year Old Virgin, Knocked Up is still worth it. This film doesn’t rely on gross out comedy like you get from the American Pie films, but this film injects some real emotion and personality with its characters which can be touching. Not the ideal leading man that you would picture but Seth Rogen plays his part well with his ironic sense of humor. Knocked Up is certainly one of the better films you will see this year.
