  1. Worth the watch

    06 December 2008
Shakespeare was a master storyteller...unfortunately some people don’t get that and in this documentary, Al Pacino educates the audience on Shakespeare’s most complicated play, Richard III. From watching this, you immediately get Pacino’s passion for Shakespeare and for this play. He is simply relentless and sometimes over the top with explanations. However, the documentary does have some charm and Pacino’s performance can only be described as creepy when he puts on his costume to play Richard. The documentary is filled with some good insights from actors (who play out their scenes with Pacino), researchers and ordinary people on the street which is interesting. It’s certainly worth the watch if you are interested and it doesn’t matter whether you are into Shakespeare or not. The documentary gives you enough answers and tips that wouldn’t look out of place in an English class.
