Savo takes a bizarre and funny train journey across Yugoslavia. On the way to his mother's funeral he winds up meeting an array of weird and wonderful characters, falling in love with a girl who's speciality is underwater stripping.
The story starts somewhere at the end of 90's, in Montenegro. It's something like modern Odyssey - however you have to know a little about the history of the Balkans to get the most out of it. Not bloody, but a bloody critical, black comedy. Great performances makes the film easy to view too.
This is Ristovski's first solo film. He wrote it, directed it and played the main role. He had once again affirmed himself as a great actor and he was surprisingly good as a writer. He wrote a nice story in a great way. I liked the most his monologues that were in fact the thoughts of the main character Savo. And with a good cast that he made it had to be a great movie and really - it is!
