Scariest Movie Ever

This is the scariest horror film ever. There are so many memorable scenes in this film that are often parodied in other films or TV shows. It just goes to show how much this film is more than a film – since its release during the 80’s, the film has achieved cult horror status. Being a Stephen king fan, this has got to be one of his best adaptations for film or television. Jack Nicholson’s performance is truly frightening and really brings home the mantra that you are more likely to be attacked by someone you know rather than a total stranger. Watching Jack gradually breaking down with his nightmarish visions and the creepy writing of his book – “All work and no play makes Jack a dull boy” to the scene where he breaks down the down the door with his axe to get at his wife and child, whilst yelling “Here’s Johnny” are arguably the best and scariest scenes in the movie.
