Life seems to be looking up for shy and withdrawn Stephane when he returns to his childhood home with the promise of a great job. The job does not work out as he'd hoped, but he strikes up a relationship with his neighbor, Stephanie. Now as his wildly creative, fanciful and sometimes disturbing dream life constantly intrudes in his waking world, the confidence he exudes in his dreams bleeds into his real life - until his insecurities force their way back and Stephane confronts a dilemma that even The Science of Sleep my not be able to resolve.
