Not true to the book

Even though this film is well made, altering some of the characters’ personalities and specific scenes that are not in the book is not a good experience to watch. You become confused and frustrated that there are so many discrepancies that the book reader is not familiar with in which the director/screenwriters have tampered with. It is because of this, I wasn’t able to enjoy this film as much as I would have like to. It can be boring in some parts but it is just the simple fact that plot sequences that changed between the book and the film production was just outrageous and I can’t understand why that decision was made. I know some books to film have made changes, for example the Bourne series...but when you start messing around with the essence of the characters like this film did then you are asking for trouble and you will feel a little disappointed.

I watched this film when I was about 10 years old and I felt that I was already too grown-up for it. The storyline left something to be desired, and the childish characters and completely impossible happenings make it unbelievable and boring.
