  1. This film is funny

Jack Nicholson gives the perfect performance as Daryl, the devil that moves into the New England town of Eastwick. His performance is so good that you can’t really imagine anyone else playing the role. The special effects are great in this film where it is the battle of the sexes. It does seem ironic that the witches end up fighting each other for this one man in Daryl aka the devil when they are all suppose to be friends, but I guess it is just one of these films where you don’t really care for logic. Fans of the original novel might be a little disappointed due to the fact that the witches in Updike’s novel were more malicious and devilish themselves before they even meet Daryl. The film is funny and is simply a classic 80’s movie in which I fully recommend.
