In late 20th-century San Francisco, a 200-year-old vampire tells his story--of desire, love, yearning, grief, terror, ecstasy--to a young reporter, weaving the history that has come to be known as Interview With The Vampire.
This is an excellent film that includes excellent performances by all the actors involved. It is visually stunning, with scenes that are so graphically striking that they are the highlight of the whole film. Further resplendence was seen in the intricately crafted 1800s style clothing, and dark moody atmosphere. Tom Cruise is my favorite in this film, and he plays the role of the elder vampire beautifully, illustrating the sly wiliness and pure selfishness of his character.
'Interview with the Vampire' is a stunning and eccentric drama that explores the meanings of life, death, love, seduction, and regret. In the main, the vampires allow us to appreciate the conventional waylays of modern humanity.
