This is one of my favourite films, and it certainly stands up to the high potential imposed by the first film. There was only one thing that irritated me in this movie, and that was when Roberts played herself in an oddly inconceivable trick to mislead a museum, only to get found out by Bruce Willis. While the whole nature of the film is far fetched, I felt that this scene pushed the bar a bit too far. The absurd silliness is somehow made a witty tongue in cheek and undeniably exemplary film, possibly due to Soderbergh's visual flash, astute editing, and brilliant use of the Amsterdam, Paris, and Rome, among other highly decorative locations. In reality the whole film should really just cave in under its own ludicrousness, but it stands tall, with its first rate cast and dynamic chemistry this is a charismatic comedy heist movie that should be watched over and over again.

The Ocean's series is all about knowing that they're going to succeed in the end, and watching the action unfold in an entertaining way with a few twists. Eleven did this brilliantly. Twelve, however, didn't. The premise for the film is weak, and rather than being entertaining it's just over-the-top verging on ridiculous. I really didn't enjoy this film at all; not even a first-class cast could save the dreadful script.
