Synopsis

DiCaprio stars as Danny Archer, a mercenary smuggler searching for a priceless diamond amid the chaos of Sierra Leone's civil war; Hounsou (Gladiator), as a desperate father searching for his lost son; and Connelly (A Beautiful Mind), as a reporter searching for the truth behind the trade in 'conflict diamonds.' Forced to confront the brutal human cost of the diamond trade, Archer changes his search for financial reward to a quest for redemption.

    An amazing and pertinent story; well scripted and afforded excellent performance by the leading characters. A definite must-have for your collection.

    This is an excellent film with some outstanding acting – I should mention Hounsou as first rate, as he is less well renowned as his costars, but equally as talented and puts on an incredible performance. Dicaprio creates a captivating character, a s his intense merciless character continues to astonish throughout.. The onscreen chemistry between the actors is also exceptional, and just further proves that this film involves some of best craftsmen of the acting field. The film is written beautifully, and shows the horror of the diamond trade in a vivid awfulness that has rarely been shown before.
