Synopsis

When biker Cary Ford (Martin Henderson) returns to his hometown to reunite with his girlfriend, he's framed by an old rival for a murder he didn't commit. But only for testing a Dolby 7.1 setup, other than that this movie bites. I didn't even notice the ending, suddenly the credits were rolling and I had long since stopped paying attention...it's a shame because I like motorbikes and I will admit that the Fast and the Furious is a personal favourite.

Early on in this motorbike-centric film we're shown a sign with the statement "cars suck". Maybe so, but if you're of the opinion that pretty much anything else with an engine is pretty tedious too then you're not going to get a lot of mileage out of a film like this. I'm willing to admit that I'm sure I'm not the target audience for this film. But then who is? Motorbike enthusiasts? But then when a large part of the action (including the 'climactic' chase) is drenched with cheap CGI work it's difficult to see how many thrills are to be had. All the cast are pretty much anonymous throughout. The only exception is Ice Cube, who has the kind of constant grimace that suggests he's only too aware of what kind of film he's ended up in.
