the light-hearted version of “Wall Street”

There is only one word to describe Danny DeVito in this film – outstanding. This is simply an enjoyable movie with a good cast. DeVito is one of those actors that you have to appreciate. He is downright funny and in this movie you get to see all of that plus more. He plays Larry Garfield aka Larry the Liquidator who is this ruthless corporate raider. As much as he is the cartoon villain, DeVito shows us that Larry is not all that ruthless but he does have another side to him which is cultured and romantic as he tries to win the heart of an attractive lawyer played by Penelope Ann Miller. The film has some good scenes and it’s nice to see towards the end that Larry as a character grows as he does the right thing. It is also nice to see Gregory Peck in the film to mix it in with the younger cast. Watch this film if you want the light-hearted version of “Wall Street”.
