Synopsis

I found this film boring. I’ve seen Jennifer Lopez in better films – her best one to date is Out of Sight. She plays a female cop called Sharon Pogue whose life is saved during an ambush by a mysterious stranger, called Catch played by Jim Caviezel. As they fall in love, they discover the truth about each other. I’m not really sure what kind of film it is suppose to be – is it suppose to be a supernatural, a thriller, a love story, a mystery…this film gets mixed up in its own world. It tries to combine them all and focus on so many different elements, but in the end it doesn’t quite fulfill that promise and it really shows. The ending is poor as well even though the film starts off well. It’s very slow and predictable and the plot is filled with flaws and gets bog down by boring subplots. I quickly lost interest in the main characters despite the leads giving ok performances.
