Complicated and Challenged Plot

Despite the holes in the plot, if you like movies which have a complicated and challenged plot, then this film might be for you. It’s very hard to categorize what type of movie The Jacket is as it melds about five different genres together without really falling into any of them. The best I could compare this film to is Donnie Darko or Mulholland Drive although The Jacket is not really on par with those films. However this film can be intriguing if you give it a chance. The first thing the film has in its favour is a stellar cast with the excellent Adrian Brody, Keira Knightley and Kris Kristofferson. The second thing is the plot. Now it’s not perfect and it does have some flaws but the scenes that are well executed will leave you shocked, horrified and intrigued at the same time. It’s an ambitious project and that is something nobody should take away from it.
