I’m sure there are plenty of incarnations of the Hercules films which are good and famous in their own right. But this is certainly not one of them. Despite having a nice and yet pleasant soundtrack, the film unfortunately doesn’t deserve it. Apart from the opening sequence the film is too formulaic for its own good and it just becomes boring, tiresome and sometimes repetitive after a while. The acting is rather bad and the fight scenes feel a little cumbersome rather than being impressive. Even the scenes which are supposed to provide comic relief and entertainment just didn’t feel funny at all. You should watch this for your own entertainment if you love Hercules or anything with a historical feel to a film. But you might be disappointed.
