Synopsis

Clay McCord (Alex Cord) is an outlaw with a $10,000 price on his head. He also suffers from what he thinks is epilepsy, paralyzing attacks that leave him defenseless. Fearing capture by bounty hunters, McCord hides out in Escondido, a wide open town besieged by US Marshal Colby (Arthur Kennedy) and menaced by its savage bandit chief, Kraut (Mario Brega). Upon learning that the Governor (Robert Ryan) is granting amnesty to any criminal who pledges to reform, McCord rides to Tascosa, where he's receives an official reprieve. Preparing to begin a new life, McCord leaves town, unaware he's being stalked by bounty hunters who are ignorant of his pardon.
