bit of a letdown

I love Science Fiction – it is sometimes scary, dramatic and full of spectacular action sequences. Unfortunately, I don’t think this film will rank high enough for me to watch again. This film tries to be intelligent and thoughtful but fails miserably due to cheesy lines from a poorly written script and overacting from certain actor performances. It just doesn’t quite pull off anything that the film promises to be. Another thing that is a letdown is the special effects. Ok, this is a 60s film and special and visual effects are not as advanced by today’s standards but I’ve seen better effects from this decade. The effects just seem outdated, something you would probably expect from an early 50s film. The editing feels choppy and there isn’t a real flow to the film. The film can be interesting if you let your logic go but there are other better sci-fi films out there.
