This is simply a bad, predictable thriller movie starring John Travolta of all people. I’ve seen him in better roles but this is simply not one of them. This film is dull, unoriginal, bad and boring, to the point where I even fell asleep. There is absolutely no substance in this movie and if you want a clever thriller then this film is not for you. Some of the acting is wooden and unimaginative and Vince Vaughn as the villain was stone-faced throughout rather than a scary, menacing figure as if was trying to do a better impersonation of Norman Bates from Psycho. But the worse thing about this film is the incompetence from the police, which is totally incredible. It’s predictable and contrived and I thank the heavens that the running time for this film was short. The only thing good about this film is that it is well made and that is about it. Just stay clear at all costs.
