I’m sure you’re aware of the infamous storyline; which involves a gang of old Army friends setting up the biggest theft in American history, five Vegas casinos. You can note the 1960s cinematography by the fact that it Is a bit slow moving occasionally, and it is played a bit too seriously and straight edge, creating less laughs than the sequel. And as a product of the 60s there was no sex due to lots of strict censoring back then. The Fifties All-Adult ambience of Las Vegas is highly charming and invaluable, as is the super coolness that just oozes off the screen. The slick charm of the Rat Pack is demonstrated well within this film – for example not many people could pull of calling John F Kennedy 'Chickee Baby'? this film has wit and charm, just lacking the modern day risqué, but making up for it is old school charisma.
