    surprisingly good

There are not many times where I rate Ben Affleck’s acting ability, but I found this film surprisingly good. He plays an ambitious lawyer who has an accident with another driver, played by the excellent Samuel L Jackson who are both late for court for different reasons. What happens during the course of the day is tit for tat behavior between both men. The acting is superb throughout this film, especially from Samuel L Jackson as the desperate father trying to get custody of his children. His speech in the bar about Tiger Woods is amazing and gripping. Jackson could make a speech about a phone book and make it sound cool. Affleck does a good job as the ambitious lawyer on his way to making partner in the firm. The supporting cast does a solid job as well. This is a character driven movie which definitely has some heart and soul and questions the aspect of human behavior.

      RE: surprisingly good

For 99p this wasn't about to be an incident if I didn't like the film and I read your reviw Kelechi E and rented it on the strength of that and being of the same opinion of Ben Affleck and Sam Jackson (albeit I'm a year and a half behind you) well worth the watch. However it didn''t change my opinion of Ben Affleck but maybe a relationship with a different Jennifer has made him better in the choice or absence on screen since?
