    one for Kylie fans only

It's easy to see how The Delinquents got made. At the time of its release Kylie Minogue was one of the biggest pop stars on the planet. The producers obviously figured "Get Kylie in front of the camera, add some music, throw in a nude scene and we can't lose". What's trickier to do is find a reason to watch the film now, beyond mild curiosity. It's not bad exactly (unless you're a fan of the original source material by Criena Rohan - it's apparently not a great adaptation) but then again, it's really not much of anything at all. Any chemistry between the co-stars gets lost in the knowledge that a) you're watching Kylie Minogue on screen, and b) isn't that that guy from Diagnosis Murder? Charlie Schlatter (yes, he of Diagnosis Murder 'fame') tries his best Rebel Without A Cause impersonation but it doesn't really come off. Ultimately the whole thing is pretty forgettable.
