Synopsis

Young orphan Gilly (Klein) finds out his lover Jo (Graham) may actually be his biological sister. After they break up he discovers he's not related and travels across the country to stop her impending wedding. Unfortunately the entire nation has heard the same story and thinks he's just after incestuous thrills.

    Slightly Lacking

    There are some humorous moments in Say It Isn’t So, but overall, this film is slightly lacking. Yes I laughed at the absurdity of the plot and the gross out jokes but somehow it felt a little desperate and forced. It really doesn’t really live up to my favourite, ‘There’s something about Mary’. I think I was put off by Chris Klein’s acting – it felt one dimensional and makes Keanu Reeves’s acting worthy of an Oscar performance and Heather Graham hasn’t done a hit movie since her stint in Austin Powers 2. Sally Field is probably the star of the whole thing along with her on-screen husband, Richard Jenkins. If you want gross out comedy, skip this and watch ‘There’s something about Mary’. You will probably be wasting your money on this.
