Synopsis

    What a shame

    I was quite disappointed with this movie. The emotions were raw but the storyline was lacking a bit.

    It's a rather sad story, but one you'll want to hear. The Titanic duo lead the ups and downs of an ordinary life and what could be, if only they plucked up the courage to change. The emotion is raw and realities of domestic bliss are laid bare, without becoming too boring. One thing I would say is that I struggled to feel as much empathy with any of the characters, and feel that in failing to do that, the film missed an opportunity to be more powerful and moving that it is.

    I love this book. I love Kate and Leo. I love Sam Mendes - but, somehow the chemistry of all these fantastic elements didn't quite come together. That said, there are some definite moments of genius and poetry.
