Well, i,m not very good at writing this sort of thing but after watching this movie i had to at least try, i dont mind admitting that i cried through most of this film, probably because my childhood mirrored the young lads, also, i found myself wanting to be in that world, to just fuck this world off and be a boy again. We lose a lot of imagination as we grow older and replace it with garbage we dont really need. Anyway, i told i was crap at this, i just want to say that i really enjoyed this film and i will be buying the dvd, thanks for taking the time to read this.

I love the book and I was very excited at the prospect of a film adaptation, especially when news broke that Spike Jonze was to direct. I must say though, that while it looked beautiful and it definitely captured the essence of childhood perfectly, it still left me feeling a little unfulfilled and wanting more. I suppose I might be asking for too much considering the book had so few pages and was largely made up of illustrations. An enjoyable film but not quite as magical as I had hoped.
