  1. silly but fun

John Constantine is a man who rids the world of demons in order to redeem himself in the eyes of God, after being condemned to hell for committing suicide. It's pretty clear that sending demons back to hell is certainly not the nicest of jobs. Constantine is undoubtedly very silly, especially the scene where Keanu Reeves puts his feet in to a bucket of water and grabs hold of a cat which surely takes the biscuit, but if you can enjoy these moments in a comic way then you can accept the film for what it is as mindless entertainment. It's far from the best comic book to film transfer, and its ideas are obviously not the most original but the sets, effects and action make it an enjoyable film nonetheless.
