Psychiatrist Valerie Somers disappears one night; detective Leon Zat is called to investigate; his wife has been getting advice from Somers because she suspects Zat of cheating on her, and thus follows a web of deceit, lies and intrigue.
Never quite sure with free stuff but when I saw the cast included Anthony Lapaglia and Geoffrey Rush I thought it would be worth a watch. I enjoyed it , a good mini study if you like of relationships. I felt sorry for Jane though in terms of her friendship with Paula deteriorating - she did the right thing in telling the police but got vilified for it. Worth watching
It's a story about relationships and choices..... and how they are dealt with by each character. Not your typical American cheesy/ over dramatised can't relate to kinda movie. Very enjoyable..real characters that are easy to relate to with great acting by all the cast. Really worth watching.
It could happen to anyone...Middle age confusion, passion, insecurity, suspiccion. Real life, real people, real struggles. Great screenplay and great acting! The world is very small..our lives roll on into each other in a way or another. Shall we hide, what to hide! Great evening, made my day!
Brilliant film for what it is. Superb acting, especially form the cops wife - facial expressions etc. A bit of everything; Murder, mystery, sex, romance, violence, intrigue... Even a touch of comedy! Watch the cop whilst he is out jogging one day! I defy anyone to guess 'who done it' before the interview near the end!! A bit of a slow quiet film but worth a watch.
'Lantana' is a fantastic movie. A series of seemingly unconnected storylines are tied up in a neat, if unexpected, manner. The tension is palpable throughout and a powerful performance from Anthony LaPaglia makes this well worth watching.
