Synopsis

This dark tale, based on a true story, follows the naive Stefan (Klaus Grunberg) in his pursuit of offbeat American Estelle (Mimsy Farmer) to the island paradise of Ibiza. He leads a seemingly idyllic life with her by the sea - where the scenic beauties and delights of LSD and nude sunbathing are fully revealed by Nestor Almendros' stunning photography - before succumbing to the destructive trappings of heroin addiction.

    Great cinematography and music

    This is the story of a young and fairly naive German student who travels to Paris and then on to Ibiza at the tail end of the swinging 60’s. It is at the Ibiza stage that the movie’s emphasis on drug use becomes stronger as the young man indulges in heroin and marijuana. Great cinematography and music by Pink Floyd set the scene, an interesting look into a time of social change through the eyes of the young people that drove it.
