    Monochrome

    10 December 2009
Based on David Caute's 1961 novel Comrade Jacob, this docu-drama looks a little rough and ready now, but with stark monochrome beauty, and the film has a high-mindedness and an intriguing vernacular plainness appropriate to the subject, almost like the kind of film Winstanley would have made.

    Integrity

    01 December 2009
A fantastic insight into the English civil war and the struggle of those who attempt to exist peacefully in the face of it. The story centres around Winstanley, who represents a peaceful set of commune dwellers who are under pressure to leave “common land”, he comes across as a gentle and intelligent man who displays powerful integrity in the face of strong disaproval.
