When a happily married couple decide to set up two of their single friends on a blind date, they could never have imagined just how badly the two would get on. However, in a bizarre twist of fate, the couple have also named the same two failed love-birds as the godparents for their new-born baby. After a tragic accident, Holly and Eric are obliged to honour the wishes of their dead friends, and move into the family house to raise young Sophie together. Despite their initial aversion to each other, they are now forced to somehow join forces and become a family.
