Synopsis
This film translates the magic of Shakespeare’s verse into the language of cinema. Shot on location in Italy, it stars Laurence Harvey, Susan Shentall and Flora Robson and features the voice of John Gielgud. In the city of Verona, the Montagues and the Capulets are feuding but love blossoms between Romeo and Juliet, each from a rival family. Their path to love will not be smooth, for their families would not permit such a match. In a desperate attempt to be with her beloved, Juliet takes a potion that will simulate death.
