Synopsis
This amazing story takes us from Northern China to the Rocky Mountains. Lalu, a young Chinese girl, is sold by her father and sent to San Francisco to her “owner,” only to be re-sold. She is forced to go to the inhospitable but spectacularly beautiful Rocky Mountains, and there slowly builds a successful relationship with the local people, despite the prevailing distrust of Chinese immigrants. Love, trust and courage intermingle as Lalu falls in love and is deserted by one man, and is subsequently attracted by the support and honesty of another.
