For fans of the first Lethal Weapon then you'd think that liking the second Lethal Weapon is automatically assured right? Well maybe so but the big surprise is how good the sequel is. When success with second films is very unlikely it comes as quite a shock to find a film that is actually as good if not better than the first. Lethal Weapon 2 has cop duo Riggs and Murtuagh back in action as they take on murderous drug-dealing South African diplomats. The chemistry between the two leads is obviously still there, as they give polished performances and show the same buddy bonding as before. There's plenty of action, comedy, violence and good guys showing the corrupt baddies who's boss, all of which create a very entertaining film. It's fast paced, attention grabbing and works just as well as the first Lethal Weapon.
