Synopsis

“White Lions”, directed by Lazar Ristovski, stresses the age-old adage that happiness, not money is what truly matters in life. This dark comedy tells the story of people trying to fight for their own place in the world, just as the rare white lion fights for his own survival.

This Serbian film features excellent acting and is a true statement of Ristovski’s belief, or lack thereof, in the future of his country. In a spiraling criminal attempt to rob rich children of their jewelry, an unemployed factory worker, his son and soon-to-be fiancé must test their wits to outplay the unexpected intelligence of those they’re trying to rob.
