During New York City’s sweltering summer of 1977, the city pulsed with the beat of disco and punk rock; a heat wave caused a massive blackout; looters poured into the pitch black streets and a mysterious killer began gunning down people at random. Dubbing the killer "Son of Sam," the tabloid media fed the public’s hunger for lurid details. As temperatures soared, so did fear and paranoia - threatening to tear friends, neighbors, and families apart.
