Synopsis

    Usually wheeled out on terrestrial television over the holiday season, it's a romantic comedy that is great to watch when it's too cold to go outside, the sales haven't opened yet, or there literally is nothing on the other channels. Slow burning, and a bit dated.

    I was pleasantly surprised to find "Mail" not to be a rehash of "Sleepless." Ryan and Hanks do work exceptionally well together! Three-quarters into the movie I was wondering how they would ever pull off a romantic and yet believable ending, but the scene at the garden was one of those perfect moments in filmmaking. It just rang true and consistent with the story.

    I don't normally like movies like this, but Meg Ryan and Tom Hanks are so likeable, and the story's actually pretty believable, I really enjoyed watching this.
