When his perfect world crashes down around him, Ben Kalmen (Michael Douglas) is forced to pick up the pieces and start his quest for success all over again.

Once a successful car dealership owner, he embarks on a major comeback but old habits die hard. Once again threatening both his career and family, Ben must learn to control his ongoing lust for every attractive woman he sees, especially one whose influential family connections could make or break his latest business plan.

With his friends and family, including his ex-wife (Susan Sarandon) and best friend (Danny DeVito) all telling him that his lifestyle choices are dangerous to him, Ben must find out for himself that charm can only take you so far.
