Synopsis
In the high-pressure cauldron of New York City, talented students at the High School for the Performing Arts strive to escape a life of urban poverty, perfect their art, find success in the entertainment business and achieve the ultimate goal - FAME.
1980's musical, which spawned the mightily popular title song. Fame is set in the New York City of Performing Arts, where four talented students hope to make it big. Fame is nothing if not entertaining. Featuring everything that made the 80's great – the silly clothes, the overblown style and last but not least the cheesy music, Fame has it all. It's not just light relief though, Fame is a more in-depth look at the tension and frustration involved in the route to success, and gives a chance to see the effort and dedication that goes in to pursuing aspirations.
