Great intro to the trilogy

Jason Bourne (Matt Damon) is suffering from amnesia and bullet wounds in his back after being found in the sea by fishermen. Teaming up with Marie Kreutz, a German national, they both uncover what Bourne does for a living with a government hit squad out to get them. This is a great introduction to the Bourne films and a start of something special. It’s a smart action thriller packed with great dialogue and action sequences. The highlight of the movie is the car chase involving a red Mini Cooper and the police and you better get use to the idea of car chases as it is something that becomes a running theme for the rest of the Bourne films! Matt Damon is on top form as the complicated spy whereas Franka Potente (Marie Kreutz) acts as a good foil for Damon’s Bourne by introducing some humanity and compassion back into Bourne’s troubled life. Fans of spy thrillers will love this movie.
