Only for curious fans of the original

Carlito's Way was one of the better gangster films to come out of the early nineties. Headed by Scarface director Brian DePalma and featuring scenery-chewing performances by Al Pacino, few could see this direct-to-video prequel coming over a decade later. With unconvincing macho performances, flimsy 1960s production design and by-the-numbers rise-to-power gangster plot, this prequel certainly doesn't live up ...
