Possibly the finest film about a talking pig you will ever see

One thing you have to say about 'Babe' is that it is unique- there are not many films out there with real animals instead of actors. The story follows a young pig (Babe, in case you didn't know) that leaves his mother to be raised on a farm by sheepdogs. With the help of his new friends, 'Babe' discovers that a pig's life can be anything that he wants it to be. The first indication that this is more than just a soppy kid's film about animals arrives in the first few minutes. The sorrow and pain seen in 'Babe's' eyes when he is separated from his mother is really quite heartbreaking – it's almost like Bambi all over again. The rest of the story is a little more predictable but equally as poignant and charming. There is a good mixture of humour, action and enchanting visuals – combining to make 'Babe' a great family movie. Possibly the finest film about a talking pig you will ever
