Synopsis

Grammy-winning OutKast members Andre Benjamin (Andre 3000) and Antwan A. Patton (Big Boi) star in this dazzling story in the key of cool. At a sexy, sizzling nightclub, piano player Percival (Benjamin) lives life by the rules, while Rooster (Patton), the club's flashy lead performer, struts his stuff on the stage. But everything changes when greed, fame and murder threaten to destroy them and the place that ties them together.

    Idlewild is a musical set in the American South during Prohibition, and written and directed by Bryan Barber. It stars the hugely successful hip-hop duo, Andre 3000 and Antwon 'Big Boi' Patton, in what is their first foray into acting. The two play the roles of friends Percival and Rooster, one a shy morgue worker and the other a speakeasy owner. Needless to say there's Gangsters, romance and a whole lot of musical entertainment. It's highly original stuff and very enjoyable too. With surprisingly good performances, great choreography, and catchy musical numbers, Idlewild is one big explosion of creative talent.
