change of scenery - same old film

The third film in the Fast and the Furious serious sees a change of setting, a different director and a cast of new characters. Teenager Shaun Boswell is ent to live with his father in Tokyo, in order to avoid doing time for illegal car racing. Once there he meets Twinkie, who introduces him to racing Japanese style, and gets him involved with the 'Drift King'. Fast of and the Furious: Tokyo Drift may have relocated to a different country but it features much of the same - more fast cars, more attractive girls and more high speed races. The film is not bad but it's not really very good either. The changes made don't really succeed in breathing new life in to the series, and doesn't exactly take many risks. The Fast and the Furious: Tokyo Drift is still moderately entertaining although only in a very mindless way.
