Didn't enjoy this film at all. A little too fanciful for my liking, with speed boat trips to Cuba that take so little time that you can only imagine the boat must have morphed into the Starship Enterprise en-route. The script writing falls so short that it's almost as if the varying plots fail to merge and people forget they're in the same film. There are better films to spend this kind of time on.

Directed by Michael Mann, Miami Vice is an action film based on the popular 80's TV Series of the same name. Vice detectives Crockett and Tubbs go undercover to expose a drugs trafficking operation, but their personal and private lives soon become dangerously blurred. Miami Vice is pretty underwhelming. There's a surprising lack of action and the two leads have about as much chemistry together as a squashed frog - for most of the film they don't even acknowledge each other which is more than a little odd. Sure, Miami Vice looks stunning and it obviously had a lot of cash thrown at it but you can't help feeling that it could have been so much better. Seems like they probably should have left Miami Vice untouched…
