Synopsis

Laura Garrety wants the wedding of her dreams and Kyle Fisher wants to marry the woman he loves. But before that his buddies (Christian Slater, Daniel Stern, Jeremy Pivern, Leland Orser) decide to throw him an unforgettable bachelor party in Las Vegas.

Kyle's night of freedom invovles booze, gambling, drugs and even a visit from a young stripper. When the stripper accidently gets killed, the boys get lead by Boyd into disposing of the '105 pound problem' in the desert instead of calling the police.

Thus begins a darkly comic homicidal trail, dropped like lethal breadcrumb by writer-director Peter Berg in this audacious, sure-handed motion picture.

Dark comedy

Christian Slater creates a really great, sick dark comedy in ‘Very Bad Things’. The comedy is very dark, and you should only watch this if you are prepared for that! It involves a bachelor party going very very bad. The stripper dies (‘the 105lb problem’) which causes havoc. And throughout the film are morbidly funny events and moments which will have you howling with laughter, and also wondering if it is morally acceptable to laugh at them! It seems to tread the line between complete out and out crazy sickness and hilariously written dark humour. This is a really brilliant dark comedy film, worth a watch just to see Slater in perfect form – getting more and more psychotic as it goes along. One tip – watch out for the ending!
