Typical Gangster Film

The problem with this film is that it is such a typical gangster film that has been done before. It is an average film because if you are a regular watcher of these types of films unfortunately you can predict what is going to happen before it does on many occasions. Based in hot and dangerous South Central Los Angeles, Tyrese Gibson plays an ex-con (O2) who whilst getting carjacked has his son, sleeping in the back, kidnapped and held for a hundred thousand pound ransom. Along the way he picks up a girl (Meagan Good), and romantic banter ensues throughout the action packed journey to get his son back. On screen chemistry is really good between the actors, and possibly the best thing about this film and the Direction of action is reasonably good. Unfortunately it is ruined by the predictability and inevitability.
