a classic

There are no two words about it – Bela Lugosi was born to play Dracula. He is downright creepy yet you keep on watching because he is so engaging as a character. He was certainly influential. It is his body language, his mannerisms, his slow speeches and his iconic stares that will make you feel uneasy. This film is simply a classic. Sometimes I wonder what makes this film haunting and engaging and I think I know why. It is the way the film plays around with the lighting and shadows which make the film dramatic and atmospheric. It is also the minimalistic music or lack of it which forces you to listen to the captivating dialogue. This film might not be scary or graphic like the later incarnations of the Dracula films, but there will be moments which will leave you gagging for more. It’s eerie and I know you will love it.
