Watch this film to truly appreciated Eddie Murphy’s comedic talents at the height of his career back in the 80s. He returns as the street-wise cop Detective Alex Foley who returns to LA to assist in the alphabet crimes and near fatal shooting investigation of friend Chief Bogamil. This is a fun, exciting movie and eclipses the first movie by a mile. There are so many funny jokes that will keep you laughing, enough action scenes that are visually stunning and a very good plot that will keep you interested all the way through. Even the soundtrack is brilliant. Eddie Murphy is just superb in every scene that he is in and with the help of the characters of Taggart and Rosewood, they simply add to Eddie’s comedic effort. The villains are believable and their alphabet crime heists are well executed and smart. You will not regret watching this cool movie so take my word on it and see it.
